City of Kawasaki is working in concert with the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) to use our rich experience in environmental protection and the outstanding environmental technologies of Kawasaki-based companies to contribute internationally to the environmental policies and measures and environmental awareness of cities in the developing world. Our goal is the creation of a sustainable urban model that can bring both industry and environment into harmony.
This year we convened the 10th Asia-Pacific Eco-Business Forum to provide a forum for the international exchange of information on cutting-edge environmental strategies and technologies, under the concept of building international networks among the nations of Asia by leveraging the new Kawasaki Environment Research Institute opened in February 2013 as the pivotal hub.
